During those first few months following my diagnosis, I had to make a choice. I had to decide on whether or not to solely rely on my daily treatment, and continue living the lifestyle I had been living, or if I wanted to take matters into my own hands and do the necessary steps to ensure that I live a very long and healthy life. I think that as people living with HIV, it is extremely important for us to become and remain as healthy as possible. Doing this may mean a very drastic change of lifestyle, but let's be honest — nobody said it was going to be easy!
